Latest NewsStudent/Staff Zone Upgrade Preparation for DX2 - February 2010 Due to a major new functionality upgrade, the Student and Staff Zone (SLN2 Learning Platform service) will be having some background updates from Wednesday 10th February until Wednesday 17th February which will be completed at RM's Data Centre. There may also be a possibility of some downtime out of school hours. Prom Fayre & Social Night - Monday 8th February, 2010 at 7pm On Monday 8th February, 2010 at 7pm, Great Wyrley Performing Arts High School will be holding a prom fayre and social night in aid of raising funds for the Year 11 Prom. All students and family members are welcome. Tickets are £1.50 and can be bought from Year 11 area. If you are a low income family in receipt of certain benefits you could qualify for a grant to buy a computer and/or a minimum of one years' internet access. The programme is aimed at those that need it most and targets families that do not have access to a computer or the internet at home. Staffordshire Police have alerted us to their concern on the website http://www.needmoreaddy.com They believe an offender is posing as a child on the website. They are urging all parents to check their internet history to establish whether their children have used this site and if indeed they are at risk.
